CPPS et métiers
(Couture petits points sewing)
Funded by the Government of Canada through Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), CPPS is a support model for sustainable access to employment. The pilot project ended on March 31, 2024.
When a survivor of violence completes her healing stay at La Maison, access to decent employment, in line with her career prospects, is an honorable way out of precariousness.
CPPS helps create a secure economic environment for survivors. Focused on employability, the program is aimed at the socio-economic reintegration of French-speaking racialized women, immigrants, refugees and survivors of various forms of violence. To achieve this, it facilitates the acquisition and development of pre-employment skills needed to initiate and sustain a successful professional career as an employee or entrepreneur. CPPS enables participants to acquire skills, knowledge and competencies related to employment or self-employment by learning a specialized trade.
